Distribution Center Manager

This individual is a proactive, assertive, take charge person. They possess the ability to think ahead and like to move forward to attain goals that are of value to them and the company. Competitive in nature, they are practical and assertive. They like the ability to work in environments that allow for independence, freedom, and change.  A conservative risk taker, this person will make decisions, but only when they deem the decision has been well thought through and its outcome reasonably safe. They enjoy managing processes and will be provided with a small staff of direct reports.

More of a leader than a team player, this person participates when it is of consequence to themselves, their direct responsibilities, or when they can personally contribute to the overall solutions. This individual will communicate in an informative, authoritative and direct fashion. This person is an analytical thinker, who requires factual information.

Job Responsibilities:

This individual is responsible for packaging, shipping, receiving, transportation, inventory, quality control, and administrative functions within our national distribution center.  This individual will help to achieve the company’s strategic and financial objectives by ensuring that customer’s needs are met through the accurate, timely and cost-effective delivery of products.  This individual will set a standard of high operational efficiency while leading and training a strong distribution team of 25 FTE’s. This person will be responsible for maintaining and cycle counting 30,000 SKU’s and replenishing close to 100 mobile stores nationwide from our Dallas based DC.

Job Requirements


  • Four-year degree, preferably in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Continuous improvement (i.e. Six Sigma, Lean Management).
  • 5 years’ experience in distribution, MRO industry preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated leadership
